    Five Ways to Craft Sleep-Friendly Bedroom Environment 塑造适于睡眠的寝室环境

      Studies show that on average we spend one third of our lives sleeping, so it is critical for us to create sleep-friendly bedroom. Below are five ways for your reference:


      研究显示我们平均花费三分之一的时间于睡眠上,因此塑造适于睡眠的寝室环境是非常重要的。以下谨提供五个方法供参考:




      1. Unplug 远离干扰


      Nowadays, we are addicted to electronic devices such as computer, tablet PC, mobile phone and TV. These devices cause us to remain alert and disturb our sleep. As a result, you should stay away from the gadgets while in the bedroom so that you are free from distraction in your sanctuary.



      在现在这个科技发达的时代,我们时常与手机,电脑,电视等电器形影不离。这些电器使我们一直处于亢奋的状态,进而影响我们的睡眠。因此当我们在睡房时,我们应该远离这些电器使我们的生活作息得以避免受其干扰。




      2. Clutter-free 清除杂物


      Tidy the room to create an oasis of calm in your bedroom. The clutter in bedroom is an eye sore, causing inconvenience and discomfort to the residents. Discarding the unwanted stuff can improve the ventilation, bringing a refreshing outlook to the room and thus improve the living quality.



      将睡房整理干净以打造一个舒适的避风港。房里的杂物令人厌烦,带给居住者不便及不适感。我们应该把废物丢弃以增加房间空气的流通感,使其焕然一新,进而提升居住品质。




      3. Rearrangement 调整房间格局


      According to the principles of Feng Shui, the arrangement of the room can affect the quality of sleep. For instance, a desk in the bedroom makes us feel like we are working all the time. In this case, you may want to relocate it to achieve positive sleeping environment.



      根据风水,房间格局对我们的睡眠品质产生影响。举例来说,摆放书桌于睡房中将使我们的大脑产生错觉,一直处于白天工作的状态。在这种情况下,建议将书桌移走以塑造优良的睡眠环境。




      4. Suitable lighting and temperature 适当的光线与温度


      To attain the optimal condition for quality sleep, we have to equip our bedroom with suitable lighting and temperature. The lights should be dim to increase the production of melatonin to facilitate the sleeping process. The room temperature should be maintained at a consistent range of 16˚C to 20˚C to provide a pleasant ambience for sleeping.



      为了拥有高品质睡眠,我们应该为我们的睡房提供适当的光线与温度。光线应保持昏暗以刺激褪黑激素的产生,使我们易于入睡。房间的温度应维持在16˚C至20˚C以塑造一个舒适的睡眠环境。




      5. Choose cool colour scheme 选择冷色系


      Apply cool colour scheme such as blue, purple, grey, silver and green for your wall painting and bedding accessories. The cool colours can lower your blood pressure, decrease your heart rate and soothe your nerves to allow you to get into sleep easier.



      应用冷色系(例如:蓝色,紫色,灰色,银色,绿色等)于房间的墙壁漆刷和寝室用具。冷色系可以降低血压,减少心跳率,并放松我们的情绪协助我们进入梦乡。
